The firm has been established to service both the public and private sectors.
As a smaller independent practice, clients have the benefit of the Principal’s direct attention and experience.
Orange Architects office studios are located in the Brisbane Metropolitan Area and on the Tweed Coast.
The practice serves the greater south-east Queensland region and the far north coastal region of New South Wales.

Rodney Orange FRAIA

Rodney Orange is the Principal of Orange Architects and he is responsible for the creative direction, management and operation of the practice.

Rod possesses strong ethical, analytical and managerial business skills and extensive practice experience both as a registered architect and as a company director.

He has worked on a diverse range of projects in the Australian States of Queensland and New South Wales.

The architectural vision that is displayed in his projects, his thoughtful logical and consultative approach to planning, his clever and imaginative functional designs and practicable detailing of his buildings are the hallmarks of his contribution to the professional practice of architecture.

Rod is proud to craft architecture of high quality that embodies a “sense of place”.

Orange Architects clients to date form an exciting and diverse range of individuals, businesses, associations, body corporates and other organisations and institutions.

Orange Architects takes pride in that, a significant number of their projects are further commissions from past clients, and commissions that are the result of a referral to Orange from past clients, building contractors and secondary consultants that have worked with Orange on their architectural projects.

Orange Architects welcomes all enquiries from the public who are requiring or maybe just considering using the services of a registered architect with imagination, vision and experience.

Orange fees are commensurate with providing clients with a high standard of professional architectural service.

Orange fees are competitive with other firms that provide an equivalent level of service.

Fees for the specific architect’s services provided by Orange, are always formally agreed with the client prior to the commencement of service on the client’s project.

Orange Architects is acutely aware of the importance of controlling the costs on a project.

That is why budgets available for construction, fees associated with site investigation, specialist secondary consultant fees, statutory fees and charges are discussed with the client and established at an early stage.

Costs are monitored as the project progresses and the client is kept informed to ensure their instructions with regard to the project costs are met.

The office management systems, procedures and policies adopted and implemented by Orange Architects are based upon those standards and procedures recommended and set out in the Royal Australian Institute of Architects – Office Manual, 1997.

The management system complies with AS/NZS ISO 9001:2008.
